Hi,
I was wondering If IT IS possible to Mine some Crypto for purchasing rank via Crypto.
I'm very new to Mining.
Just Setup T-Rex on my Laptop to Mine ethereum with my 4070 and installed monero gui on my Test Lab Server with 12cores to Mine monero.
IT Just runs for 1,5h, gonna have a Look at IT tomorrow If i earned Something or If IT was completely waste.

Do you have other recommendations for Mining? Just read through a bunch of Websites and Hope i Setup Something that works.
Is ethereum and monero still a Thing? Or are There other cryptos which suits better for a)a 4070 Laptop GPU and b) a 96GB RAM/12core/24thread CPU Server?

Mining on a laptop is less than ideal, but regardless of what you use mining doesn't really work like that, you can't leave your computer for 1h and earn like 0.05$ unless you join a pool where everyone is rewarded for the effort they put in.
Using random hardware is probably not profitable anyway, you're probably going to pay more in electricity than what you earn depending on where you live.
Nicehash is estimating a 6 cent loss per day using a 4070 (though that's for a desktop 4070 which is different but whatever) with the electricity price of my country for example

Hm, Just wanted to give IT a try and Just need to Mine enough to buy lc coins.
Used my Laptop as this is the best GPU available. And you're right, i think the 4070notebook GPU isn't as good AS the Standart one.
I'm gonna Check tomorrow If and how much i earned. But ethereum and monero is a good starting Point?

multiple things, some coins have been mined with asics for years so using gpus doesn't make sense, some coins have moved to proof of stake, then china banned mining to save electricity
so now gpu manufacturers focus on ai

these days its not worth it, and even back than a laptop is anything but worth it so not a device i would use it for

but main reason on why not, energie bill itself is higher than you would make, and thats ex the buying costs of the parts
