So am I the only one who prefer to play only completed games?

It's been what...? 5 years and I hardly ever played an incomplete game, a few in the start but when I realised those can be abandoned I stopped playing ongoing games (blame dual Family the last incomplete game I played), and also the fact that there are too many games for me to play (I have a wide range of tag preference) that I just decided to not play them until they are completed.

If you do the same or not, what are your reasons?

Sometimes - just sometimes - you can see a game develop and change, which is another level of interest in itself. Mechanics change, characters flesh out, paths develop and grow. That can add to the interest.

Sometimes it just gets to be a nuisance, especially when you keep having to restart (looking at you, Parasite Black). If the game is good enough, though, why wait?

A finished game is an unattainable ideal.
Too many games don't make it to the end.
Often those that claim a final version are just an attempt to quit .
My ideal is a game having two or three years of development with constant updates.
Especially good when you download a game at that stage of development for the first time when there is content for hours and hours!

I usually try ongoing games to see if they are good and then wait for them to be completed or to have a complete part/season before playing again.
When I played ongoing games regularly I had to start over way to many time because of broken saves.

While i prefer a complete game, there are relatively a very few of those on the site.
there are a lot of incomplete games with a decent amount of content out there that have just the right combination of fetishes that are up my style, so i go for those.
don't really go for the v0.1s that litter the site

I don't mind "in-progress" games
it's nice to have a finished game sure
but being able to test drive the drafts is great,

mostly think of them as Demos or Previews to see if its a game I'd actually be interested in

Adult games are my primary venue for porn these days, and there simply aren't enough quality completed ones out there

I'd always rather a game be completed, but I like playing in-progress games as well, because it gives me a reason to replay on each new version.

I prefer a game be completed, but I don't limit myself to only completed games. Especially if the dev has shown they CAN complete a game in the past.

Definitely prefer a completed. Ongoing is fine if you know how often an update is coming out, and if the update has substantial adds.

It nice to not have to constantly wait for updates then to find there are no more

Completed, but will play a frequently updated ongoing games.

There's just not enough completed games, let alone good ones that are up my alley. So it's basically ongoing or nothing. Of course if I could choose I would like them all to be completed.

There are literally 100s of complete games, how many completed games have you played to say you don't have enough completed games to play?

I don't kow. I've been playing for decades now, but I would say the majority of them never got completed. Maybe I'm just unlucky with my interests or it's just the impression I get.

From memory, completed games I recall rn: sisterly lust, snow daze, virtues, witch and princess trainer, dreams of desire, dating my daughter, monkey bussines (I think, not sure if it was completed or abandoned), my pleasure, last hope, overwhored, behind the dune, zombie's retreat, the visit. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch more. But still that's far far below the number of games I've played at some point or another. Not counting japanese vns here.

sometimes it means waiting years for certain game to be completed

I do like games better who had a few updates.
I like a good story, with some content before i start.

A completed game is nice, but I actually prefer ongoing which builds anticipation and you get to watch the dev behind it grow and thats enjoyable. That said, my heart has definitely been crushed a few times with abandoned faves

i try to avoid the incomplete ones
