Hate your boss? Hate your coworkers? Hate your customers? Hate the unrelenting crush of capitalism as it grinds each and every one of us down into fine paste in the endless pursuit of all the money in the world? Leave all your complaints here! It might even be therapeutic
I was out of work for a long time during covid for health issues and for the last year or so been doing gigwork (doordash/ubereats) and I enjoy being able to set my own hours, make enough money to scrape by and so on but man why do people think it's ok to tip 1 dollar for a 25 mile drive?
Clutter! Laziness! Co-workers! Time constraints! Bad coffee! The summer heat! Poor communication! Uniforms with holes in the pockets! Technology that does not work properly! Unreasonable customers! Stress-induced headaches!
Got into my trade when I was in middle school, because my dad knew a guy who knew a guy.
Been doing it for 30 years, with the occasional time off for schooling, or some dumbc**t getting himself hurt (I'm the dumbc**t).
About to finish a 240mil job I chiefed alone, just to go back in line at the pogie bank.
I don't necessarily hate my job, but I hate the idea that I have another 25 years of this and I'm only going to get more and more resonsibility and I don't want anything like that
People I talk to all complain that companies are acting like they are doing us a favor by keeping us employed, while I'm out back slaving away so the company can make money.
Was let go a couple of months back, still job searching.
Previous job was fun for a period of time when i got a good team and was a good learning experience but by the hells it was literally a 24/7 job.
12-16 hrs work on weekdays. Sat or Sun are workdays too, patching days. Calls at 1-2 am and had to go back to office for P1, P2 cases(not even my fault). A couple of times i was at the pub or club, drunk and had to go back to office to resolve some incident. One time i was so drunk, i puked and passed out in the office bathroom.
There was an upgrade project that had me and my senior working 5 days straight, no going home.
Mgmt is the issue.
Just hate how far it is (And that I have to go to the office when we all know my area can perfectly do his job from home). Takes my 1.5 hours in the morning to get to the office on a good day.
