Best Games to Play with a Partner

This is a question I haven't really seen discussed and I am curious about everyone's thoughts: if you were going to play an AVN with a significant other (bf, gf, hubby, wife, etc.) what would your recommendations be? To make it a bit easier to discuss, maybe break answers into two categories:

1) Recommendations for me (man playing with a girl), with more of an emphasis on story and character development and the naughty stuff as a secondary focus, and probably avoiding more extreme or dark subjects.

2) General recommendations based on genre.

I'm relatively new to the indie AVN community, so I don't really have any good recommendations to start the thread off with since most of what I've played in the past were 2D games translated by JAST or one of the other studios like Kana Little Sister, Crescendo, and stuff like that. I did start the first chapter of Shale Hill Secrets and so far that seems like a pretty decent story focused game, but I'm not far enough into it to really given a recommendation.

Without lan/multiplayer mode its kinda pointless to play such games together.
While we end up playing pretty much the same games except for 2 genres (she would never play a male protagonist, not even for the harem genre - and i would never play those pink bubbled pick one romances, not even for the lesbian protagonist) we rarely play them together. Its more a coincidence then planned if we play the same game at the same time.

And i cant recomment anything to someone i dont know. You should now your partners kinks, likes and dislikes better then anyone. The hetero games without harem can be counted one one hand and my only suggestion would be saya no uta, it has a true happy end ^^

It depends on the partner, but I’ve found sandbox games to be the best for this. Each person can focus more on the story they’re interested in. You can take turns in a way.

Really depends on what both of your fetishes are. Whether she is into girl/girl really determines a lot of the scope you have.

There is a board game called sexopolia. It's like monopolia, but about sex.

It really depends on what type of stuff you and your partner like. Such as fantasy or sci-fi. What sort of tags are you both into? Such as harem or pregnancy.

Honestly, that is a very complicated question to answer. You would have to know what your SO is into. Throwing around recommendations without knowing that is pretty hard. Like, someone recommended My New Family. And although I liked the game, it is pretty much a kinetic visual novel, where the only choices are if you want to pursue relationship with a specific character, or not. It is also pure slice of live. And it is heavy into the harem and incest tags, so if that is a no no for your partner, it is probably a bad recommendation.
