Seriously it hurts my eyes, even TK17 looks better and it's lmost 20 years old. I just never give a chance to any of these games. I did once for the TK8000 game cause I love Solvalley (made with Honey Select, outdated as fuck technically, but looking 100 times better than Koikatshit) and that was the first and last time. If the guy who made me appreciate a HS 1 game art can't make me like Koikatsu art, then it's over for everyone else.
And to stay on real time rendering stuff, Honey Select or VAM destroy Koikatsu. You don't even need to know DAZ or how to draw, or AI.
I understand a small number of people will play any game regardless of the art, if it has the specific rare fetish they want and don't find enough. But I don't see any type of game made with Koikatsu that can't be made with any other engine, besides ugly cheap generic looking anime with super limited facial expressions.
Anyways if you're a dev and you're making a game please don't use Koikatsu, it sucks.
I am from the ministry of good taste, and soon we'll throw you in prison if you persist in using that rubbish engine to make art.
But seriously, apart from people being blind, is there a specific reason to use it ? Like you can run it on a potato ? or it's easier to learn than Honey Select ?
