Plain simple idea, I have a bunch of cards, a few decks some proxies and would like to find others like me to play. no realworld interacting unless u want that maybe we get a webcam/mgto commander group going.

Use to, then got to expensive. here is a game idea. mtg but with adult game graphics!

Its been done but not well and the secret of MTG is money and adult products don't sell well although you can make sexy cards if they're for a JP game like onepiece. Wizards went woke and we'll never get the wifus we used to get back in the day. Chim cham What years/sets did you play I'd love to buy whatever collection you have.

I played early 2000s and all the cards are long gone sadly. had tens of thousands.
maybe one day we will have a modded mtg video game

Digital/online mostly, I started with Shandalar and then moved on to online MtG games. Arena was the last game I played - it was way too expensive, clearly focused on forcing players to build cards or passes and even then the matchmaking was horrible. Also I didn't like how it looked like Heartstone.
Then WotC went into retard mode banning cards and pushing shitty art direction (art was the thing that drew me into this game in the first place). I've lost interest shortly after that.

Used to play heavily but of course once Hasbro got involved Wizards went to shit. Had like a 10k+ collection and sold it all, started playing warhammer.

It did get too expensive, havent been able to get into the video game ones either

I used to play too. I sold a lot of my best cards before they jumped in value (power nine and dual lands). I miss playing, but when most of my friends stopped playing I did too. I still have a ton of cards and tried getting back in to it a few years ago but covid broke up our group.

Last time I tried magic at a gathering there was a huge fireball and the cops showed up....

I should also mention I was the host of these gatherings... They where always late at night and many people would come to them... I remember another one down by the river.... Part way into the night we looked around and our buddy David was "Missing"!!!!!! We yelled for him and he didn't answer for a few minutes then when he did... He had fallen down the bank into the river...... All we could see was his hand reaching up like someone crawling out of a grave...... He was wetter than his girlfriend that night... Oh and Adreian another buddy caught his shoes on fire while jumping over the bonfire... I have other stories from our gatherings a lot of magic happened on some of those nights probably a few kids magically created too.

I will say this... One of my old coworkers keeps trying to get me to go to their Monday night D&D game..... His reason is I'm good at writing up scenes..... So in other words who ever was or is doing it sucks or doesn't want to anymore lmao and I'm not interested at all in that kinda stuff. Video games and reading fantasy books yea but not the dice or board game stuff.

Have played, or more bought some cards and played with friends, not competitive with MTG

personally big fan of card games in general.
played magic, yugioh, force of will, wixoss, flesh and blood, pokemon, etc etc. from kitchen table to straight up winning an euros in one (wixoss)
stopped caring for mtg when they revealed neon kamigawa. shit was so soulless and corporate i couldn't stand it anymore
i honestly wish for wotc to go bankrupt and mark rosewater to get lynched

Nah, was already way to old for that kind of card game when it was at the height of its popularity.

I often played there during my college years. but not anymore

Used to play physical but didn't have to many people to play the game with or had board game store to go to. The phone/Pc application they made was pretty polished and enjoyed it for a couple of months but I like physical more, like to feel the cards in my hands. Wish I bought those fallout packs though, its my favorite video game.

played a lot from.... cant remember the years but Mirrodan Besieged was the first set i was a part of and stopped just after khans, tried a bet of MTG Arena and online but its just not the same vibe, sold most of my cards to a buddy who was still into it when i got out. I only kept 2 decks mostly for nostalgia reasons and have been using them lately to teach little cousin how to play

I only play Arena nowadays. The few cards I bought weren't even in English so I just couldn't justify it with such low monetary return after sale.
