I've never thought about it in a lewd way, but giving Ranma 1/2 a proper ending would have made my 10-year-old self very happy.

It feels like lewd scenes have gone down across the board ever since anime started to become mainstream in the west. Gone are the days where anime could be borderline hentai like Highschool DXD, Maken-Ki, and Kanokon. It's just a weird thing with the west. AOT level violence is fine but the minute there's some T and A then all of sudden it ain't fine.

I actually think it's the opposite with live action, considering shows like Game of Thrones and Shogun have shown nudity. Though they may just be exceptions and I'll also admit that I'm not a big live action watcher so maybe there used to be more leeway back in the day than there is now.

Tell me ONE recent movie or show that shows casual nudity (or goddess forbid slightly graphic sexuality) that is not generally violent.

If we're talking about sexuality paired with violence then yeah I'm pretty sure that everything that has sexuality also has plenty of violence as well.
