discussion anime to watch

OK, adding to this, cause I don't watch anime but just started watching One Piece (watch this btw, super fun),
what should we watch, and what should I "Not" watch with my niece and nephew.

Somebody let me know if this should be a new thread, don't want to distract from OP.

the apothecary diaries / really nice and in my opinion, well suited for nieces and nephews if they are at least 10 years old.

- from 2006, about a regular guy ending up with a bunch of mercenaries somewhere in Caribbeans. Lots of violence, crime and people living on the edge, the dub is pretty good.

- from 2007, set in 1930 US. Fascinating story revolving around mobsters, violence and some occult, the dub was pretty good.

- from 2009, was top ranked anime series on for about 14 years. The story is about two brothers that tried to resurrect their mother using alchemy, fail and then go looking for philosophers stone. But what they discover is more than what they bargained for.
- from 2009, took Madhouse (renown for quality shows) 7 years to cook this one up. Essentially a racing show where attacking your opponents is not out of questions. Good animation, good soundtracks, intriguing storytelling. I did not dislike the dub.
- from 2010, super serious student council president is courted by this mysterious, but seemingly perfect guy. The primary audience is female, but its a fun watch none the less.
- from 2010, chaotic comedy telling a tale of two angels that got kicked out of heaven and must work on earth to earn their right to get back.
- from 2012, similar vibes to black lagoon. Child soldier ends up with international arms dealer. The story revolve around all manner of shenanigans the arms dealer get up to and them building bond/trust over time.
- from 2012, it's about England, vampires and vampire hunters, the Vatican plays a role too. The best part is that it allows you to understand and appreciate , which is just... amazing.
- from 2012, it was pretty big deal back in 2012. Bunch of users get stuck in a VRMMO, if they die, the helmet kills them, if someone tries to take off the helmet, it kills them. How to get out? Clear the game. The show is okay, but is outstanding.
- from 2016, written by the same guy who wrote one punch man.
- from 2016, whenever someone dies near our protagonist, he is forced back in time on a loop until he can prevent the death of that person. One day, his mother is murdered by a mysterious figure and he is sent back to the past by 20 years, when he was still just a kid.
- from 2017, what happens if a carrier oriented sociopath and atheist meet god? The dude manages to piss off god and gets reincarnated as a girl in NotGermany during NotSecondWorldWar. As an orphan with magical powers, he decides that best way to provide for himself is to enroll into the army and become a read officer. But god occasionally throws a wrench into his plans. Fun watch, good animation, good scene composition, good sound.
- from 2023, the show that flipped to #2 on . The show begin after the group of heroes has defeated the demon lord and brought peace to the world. You follow Frieren POV, a long lived elf. It's basically a chill story where Frieren travel the world with her companions and get into various troubles (including mimics), but the world building, music and story pacing are top notch, the dub was pretty good.

Don't remember the name but it's about a deer MC and a club about her. And Asobi Asobase. Don't normally watch anime but sth about the abject derpiness of these two caught my attention

Overlord is a pretty good one. My brother forced me to watch a couple of episodes and it got me hooked. New series out soon too
