Do ratings affect whether you download a game?
I'll be honest I didn't even know there was ratings. So nope, I don't even look at them. Tags and Images are the main thing, also the overview and any dev notes. Then if I'm not sure about one of them I'll check the comments. Even then I'll sometimes download a "bad" game just to see how bad it...- Thorbjorn

I don't particularly mind their personalities not alligning with mine, I'll still play the game. However when they do it does make the game more immersive.
