The game, along with Bomba's other games, is currently somewhat in hiatus at the moment.
Bomba is busy with IRL stuff so we haven't been able to make any new updates for any of our games. He is somewhat active on ATF at times, but has been busy lately.
Yes it is from him, yes that is his other game. We started this game a short while ago. After a few updates for Isekai Smartphone came out.
Bomba does this as a hobby when he has spare time, hence why he doesn't really have any social links. This is mostly for fun on our part.
Bomba has been...
I'm sorry then. I'll see if anybody else responds about their experience and later this week if I can I'll spin up my Mac VM and see if I can diagnose the issue.
I really wanted to help, sorry I wasn't able to.
which is great and easy to do but the question was whether people are able to run the Mac ports I made without issues.
That's what we want to know. If people are having issues they can be removed from the OP but if they work they can stay.
You can run any Ren'py game from the Ren'py SDK if you...
My mac port worked fine for you? No errors or anything hmmm that is weird then
@Paul Newmon were there any error logsor something generated on your end? Not sure why it's not working for you.
Really? Hmm I thought I did everything right.
I might try something different later. I won't have another test verison until tomorrow most likely, though.
EDIT: Can you try this market release of the game? Let me know if this one works:
You must be registered for see element.
Hopefully it works.
As I mentioned, I didn't have time to test it out so it might not even work.
If anybody tried it and it worked for them let me know just so we can be sure. If not, I can try to fix any issues.
I made a quick and dirty Mac port using the compressed version.
You must be registered for see element.
Let me know if it works for you guys.
I don't have time to spin up my Mac VM to test it out.
Funnily enough, I help proofread/write for all those games lol
Bomba (the dev of this game) is busy with IRL stuff at the moment so we might not be seeing an update to this gem for a while.
While you can do that, whenever I make any mods/edits for games I try to make them as simple as my drop and replace 'scripts.rpa' fix. Due to the fact that some people might not be comfortable doing what you mentioned, since they might get confused, or lost, or mess something up.
Years and...
So the reason for that is that both that game and this game have this in `options.rpy`:
You must be registered for see element.
Meaning they both look for a save directory called "dark_elegance-…"
This might be because this dev or that dev just copied this file to save time? Who knows the point...
