That's just an unfortunate part of life for media that isn't movies or books. An author could have a whole story plotted out, but if a publisher decides to drop them they have to either find another to pick them up or somehow end their 5 season story in season 2.- Seakrit

I have not seen that one, so on my list it goes (y). While I can't compare, I will say I've rewatched it like 3 times and read the manga. The anime is pretty faithful and only covers about half. Manga is complete, so I'd give that a rec as well.- Seakrit

So I have to mention one more anime. My all time favorite: Ore Monogatari (My Love Story) Its a slice of life rom com and its damn good. The english dub is excellent too. Completely wholesome and doesn't get enough praise.- Seakrit

I'll second the Nichijou rec. It's some good fun anime that doesn't require effort to enjoy (aka just a bunch of shorts, not 3 seasons of lore to know). I also never heard of it until friends mentioned it. Along the same theme, My Neighbor Seki is also a great, easy, fun watch.- Seakrit
