I haven't really seen anything yet that comes across as anything other than a quick cash-grab or compensating for a lack of genuine artistic talent/effort.

If it's slow-burn/well-written then the number will be higher. On the face of it LiL has a ridiculous numbers of LIs but the characters have all been given time to develop.
I thought Cocoon was genuinely superb. Excellent environmental and visual story-telling (no spoken dialog) and can be completed in about 5 hours. I loved every minute of it!
It's on Game Pass if you have a subscription.
I don't think I've come across any that avoid becoming repetitive and tedious, but that's not a huge issue if they're optional. Would prefer they're left out in favour of time spent on more "meaningful" content though.
