Yeah, that makes more sense, though Dick definitely still didn't care about either version of Total Recall and how it matched up to We Can Remember it for You Wholesale. I might be misremembering but I thought I read that he really didn't care about his stories and how they were adapted probably...
I think you might be mistaken. Philip K Dick was dead before the first Total Recall was made and RoboCop wasn't based on a book and I was just comparing the theming and messaging of the original and the remake.
The RoboCop remake was clearly made by people that didn't understand the original...
good to hear they went with a more faithful adaptation as otherwise I don't really see the point in the remake. I'll admit, I didn't even think about that possibility at first though and was just thinking of stuff like the RoboCop remake where apparently the point of it was to completely butcher...
2001: A Space Odyssey
it's a great movie and the craft put into making it is insane. the movie was made before computer generated effects were a thing in movies and, I'm pretty sure, everything was done in camera. I know the floating pen and then crazy space sequence near the end are both in...
they break sometimes. I'm not on my main computer and can't find it right now but I'm pretty sure there's another apple attempt that broke the waffle maker.
I could probably help with the apples. I have some experience squeezing them into places that people say they don't belong.

If I look at it from a purely selfish point of view, I'm on board with this take now that my coins were restored. It was a mild annoyance and a curiosity before but since we got some site updates out of it too, I'm totally cool with it.

honestly? I'd probably take 6 months as a win at this point
yeah, I get ya and I don't envy you in the slightest. I had good reason for not wanting to sound rude, I'm just bad at it. probably because I'm on the spectrum lmao
I don't mean this to be rude but I don't know how else to phrase it. I don't care if there's a use for activity coins or not.
I just want to know when things are going to stop constantly changing so I can just stop evaluating or investing in anything until then.
is this definitely happening and do we know when? If so, I might just dip out until then and decide if I wanna try and reacquire what was lost yet again after seeing the changes
So, a database table was altered and they needed to rollback to before the change? Any word on how and why the table was altered?
is interest back in the bank or not because it says there's interest but isn't there supposed to be a "next collection" line?
there's already a transaction log that shows all purchases for users. I do not know why they can't backup and restore that info or at least tell us in advance before roll backs so there's at least a chance of us being able to save it ourselves.

just curious because it legit does not matter but does anyone know why this rollback happened and why stuff like game threads couldn't be backed up and restored? I thought the new test server setup was supposed to allow them to avoid this kind of thing.
