Blackheart Games has some great ones - the guardian, personal assistant, secrets of whispering pines, etc. For others, Malignant and Burned are fantastic.
Yeah, Unity and Unreal require a level of game dev understanding that can make for some... interesting... games if the devs don't know what they're doing.
Renpy, Unity, games that use HTML (twine) effectively. Older RPGM versions where you can't use the mouse are really not great, same as wolfrpg. Newer ones aren't too bad, though, especially ones that have a "skip text" option. Having to use the keyboard constantly and spamming the "accept"...
Honestly for still images/gifs, there are some really great ones. My favorite porn game of all time is Life Choices, and they use some incredibly good gifs in it.
