my own favorites are
Kamidori Alchemy Meister
Naedoko demon grounds (and other games by that circle)
Ambrosa (and magical girl celesphonia)
Fall in Labyrinth
and probably more that I'm forgetting
Wondering if any of y'all have any recommendations for rpg games or just sharing what y'all like. Not at all picky about the specifics as long as it "feels" like an rpg whether it's full on rpg maker or just somewhat of an rpg (can't think of an example). Fine with any tags too.
pro tip: use universal ren'py mod to lock the day of the week counter and you can explore every character's paths instead of focusing on one or two.
can't explore the branches from within character routes with one save though
I like slow burn stories but a good slow burn story has to have actual progress and intermittent rewards whether that's in plot progression spikes or well done boss fights or events in stuff with gameplay or just ya know, porn. If there's no real sense of progress then it's not really burning at...
it shouldn't and could be used in place of a fix in some cases if the relationships are stored as variables for some reason. I also use URM in place of a walkthrough mod and only ever had an issue with the mod in one game, The Sin Within (not that popular yet but I recommend it), where it...
Yeah I couldn't catch up to the content when I tried replaying it before getting distracted by other games or life. Feel the same for house in the rift, but I can't in good conscious say they're "bad" in my opinion.
For you and anyone else reading that considers a game below expectations cause of a grind but like it otherwise I HIGHLY recommend:
Universal Ren'py mod - for ren'py games
MTool - supposedly works for RPGMaker MV/MZ/2k/2k3/XP/Vx/VxAce/Wolf RPG/TyranoBuilder/SRPGStudio/Kirikiri2/SMILE GAME...
The amount of characters is part of what appeals to me, but fair enough. It's a stupid amount of content which is great long term but can get miserable short term if you're looking to get to something or replaying cause of reworked or new early/mid game additions
is it the grind or that there's just a ton of content? For ren'py games I ALWAYS insist other's get universal ren'py mod so they can completely bypass it and enjoy the rest.
I can let a lot slide and enjoy the most barebone hs/koikatsu games if there's a good story or some spark in it that appeals to me, but Light of my Life I really couldn't last long even though I could tell there was depth. Hope to give it another chance later, but not anytime soon.
To elaborate on others, Perfect Housewife is pretty good though the animations early on can be pretty rough if that's what you care about. Desert Stalker only has 4(?) scenes as far as I remember. Sharing your daughter or slave with your homie in one scene, sharing daughter or wife with the same...
I love games that actually play like games so Nayla's castle, while not perfect, was fun enough that I went ahead and paid for it after trying it.
flying princess interbreed is really unique and I wouldn't say it's underrated among those that know, but I don't think many know about it.
Saw a thread asking which popular games were overhyped and it got me wondering which games people thought genuinely deserved it. I mainly play games that are fairly new in development and random Japanese rpg games so the only games I believe are popular that I have an opinion on are Mist and...
at a cursory glance it seems the consensus is that real porn in games sucks and the games themselves also aren't fun. wondering if anyone knows any worth at least trying though.
You can see the time and location of events and they also usually have a window of time rather than just one brief moment. I think the only way it could be simpler is being able to select the girls from the menu and teleport to the event which I mean fair enough, I wouldn't hate that as an option
