I wouldn't say I'm a better gamer, I'm just stubborn, I grind until my character is fairly over leveled for any given area. I still die, but not super often, and it allows me to usually be strong enough to recover my runes, meaning I rarely lose any progress.- jsmith666

I had no issues with any of the bosses on my first playthrough once I had my build locked in. Second playthrough had a bit of trouble with Malenia as it took 10 tries, but that was the only annoyance.- jsmith666
