If you just want to look at sexy pictures, go to an imageboard or something. Much less of a hassle than skipping through a VN.
I choose VNs over random images because the context of the sex scenes matters more to me than the scenes themselves. And that context generally comes from the story.
Nope. One of the main characters is a futa, and so are many others. In fact, there are no male characters in this game, so all the dicks come attached to women.
There's no tag that's an absolute deal breaker for me, since it might just end up a small part of an otherwise good game.
That being said, I avoid games tagged with NTR, femdom or scat.
Go to the Games forum and filter by the "[Complete]" prefix.

Eh, a game is so much more than just a collection of tags. I could say loli, incest, mind control, rape, pregnancy. Would that actually translate into a good game, though?
Odyssey of Gianna is a great one if you enjoy transformations. Some grind, maybe, but the sexy stuff is well-integrated into the combat, making it more fun.
Violated Heroine and Violated Princess count as RPGM games, technically. Probably not what you'd be looking for I suppose, as they are...
For a visual novel, the best software to recommend is RenPy.
Whatever you go with though, you'll have to be prepared to learn. The best tools won't replace skill and dedication after all.
If there are choices, they better affect stuff. Otherwise you may as well make it a linear story without any choices. Nothing wrong with those after all.
I don't think overall quality has gone down significantly. Maybe it's just that there are more porn games these days and therefore also more bad ones, or maybe you've forgotten the old bad ones because they're not as memorable as the "classics".
I certainly enjoy them, even though they tend to be rather bad.
I'm not at all bothered by the same character being represented by different actors, as long as it's not too blatant. Might be mild face blindness acting in my favor.
