I prefer English for most media I watch/read/listen to, I feel like some context may be lost in translation and I understand English well enough. It's a way to practice your language skill as well.
VNs are rarely translated to my language anyway.
Light of My Life and Four Elements Trainer are games where I've never skipped a single line of dialogue.
I've never played Mist but I see this game recommended everywhere, I guess I have to check it out.

Whores of Thrones is ok. It uses 3d models similar to original series actors. Gameplay is a bit tedious, but overall it's pretty decent.
Game of Whores is meh. It got reworked mid development, causing a bit of drama. It's very grindy and feels unrewarding. It's not that long, you can try it but...

I remember playing Morrowind for the first time. Oh boy, what a ride it was. You had to read all the dialogues, journal entries, map...
As long as there are people willing to pay for such a half-assed product nothing's going to change. Patreon-style funding doesn't enforce good quality and people are starved for content, they accept anything.
But you don't form any attachments, MC does. Why insert yourself into the story, you can just enjoy it like a book or movie. You don't have to pretend everything in the game happens to you xD
