I bury all of my activity coins in the yard and then forget where they are. In a few years I'll have activity trees and then I'll be practically printing virtual funds.
I do not enjoy demos. If the gameplay is fun, there isn't enough of it and the developers may change direction anyway. If the gameplay isn't fun then it wasn't worth it to begin with. If I'm unsure about a game I'll try to catch a stream of it.
