    If they're done well and not a huge part of the game, I'm okay with them. Insexual Awakening did them well (including having an opt out) Four Element Trainer did them decently well, but there's a lot of funny banter around them so they're amusing to play at least.

    Apocalust beyond a doubt, in my mind. Kind of an uninspired plot, in my opinion, but an amazing amount of care and quality went into those models.

    I am always cautious when I see gore or violence, though that's not an immediate disqualification. Desert Stalker, for example, does well to incorporate violence in its dystopian story line without forcibly adding non-consensual violence or gore to any sex scenes.

    You are definitely right. I guess I do this weird compartmentalizing thing where I divide Japanese games (translated or not) from Western games. I also don't tend to play the Japanese games as much, but that's probably an oversight on my part as I'm sure there are a lot of gems.
