I wish Illusion would go back to more immersive experiences like they did with VR Kanojo, but a VR game is always going to have a smaller customer base, at least that's changing.
There are plenty of sci-fi games, the kicker is that most of them aren't super high quality. I would recommend Tales from the Unending Void if you haven't played it already.
This is clearly a 100% passion project by the dev, which is why it's free for everyone. It has great potential, but it will likely take a while to reach it.
The story goes very off the rails with a supernatural theme, personally not my cup of tea. But the visuals are great, my one complaint with the models is that every one of them looks like an IG filter. Big lips, no cheek fat, and perfect jawline for every character feels like a bit much for me.
