Only just reading that it's going through a remake now. This is never a good sign imo. In fact, who has examples where a (late-ish) remake has done really well?
Art style matters, but not having a negative reaction to the art style is more important than having a positive one. Some art styles will completely discount a game for me.
There are two main things, people have ethical concerns with AI in general due to being trained on the work of people who didn't consent, and also that it currently looks terrible (and is still very recognizable). That said it's probably being used as part of the creation process for many...
I feel like hand drawn is objectively the best, although probably has the highest workload too so (arguably) the most likely to be abandoned. Could be interesting to see some stats on that.
AI is currently terrible imo.
Definitely WT for games where it's required. I don't feel any need to go through extra hoops to get the content that I want. Similarly, I dislike more than low grind.
This is a good game, but it's too grindy and it needs to be clearer when there's nothing at the end of the grind (due to the content not being developed yet)
