A lot of the games that I really enjoy do need a walkthrough or a wiki, but I don't think it's always a good thing. The more complex the gameplay, the more likely to need a wiki/walkthrough. But at the same time, if the mechanics are great but complex, then of course you'll need a walkthrough/wiki.
I think the issue with early access games is that there are some gems but many aren't. When you're in search of a game to play, you're hit with loads of early access/beta/alpha/etc. and even more abandoned projects. Plenty are just not that great or poorly executed but once in a while you're hit...
I remember going to a Dairy Queen when I was young and ordering an Ice Cream in a cone, then leaving the DQ and having a taste of my Ice Cream just to have an absolutely sour taste fill my mouth. Why was the vanilla sour? It never was sour but that day, I certainly was...
It doesn't take a whole lot of time or effort to get the 750 Activity Coins to get into member+. Responding to a handful of threads or games every day or 2 or 3 for a little under a month should get you there. Have fun responding to others!
If the protagonist is male, then might as well make it faceless. If they are female, then give me the face; I would like to beat off to her. I very much like the faceless characters that just don't have eyes; like the place where their eyes should be is a grey gradient*. (if that is the right word)
I think a part of it is about proportions and the possibility of the character being a loli and not wanting it to be associated with that. If you have a smaller character, they could be associated or seen as a loli and not all people like that. Most people who are into taller women also like the...
I like that it brings you more into the scene than just being a voyeur. Sure I could beat off to some vids of ladies jerkin they shit, but now I have some room to dictate what specifically they do. And for some folk, it lets them fulfill their fetishes that are more taboo like loli, torture...
If the dialogue is something impactful to the scene, then I don't skip it, unless it's to get to the more impactful parts. But if I just like the scene and the composition of it, then I skip the dialogue; better yet, if there is a scene-viewer/gallery/sandbox, then I go there to see the sex. BUT...
if I'm looking for a more tame or reasonable story, then I'm looking for the more realistic 3d style; if I want something more wacky or whimsical, then I'm searching for something anime/drawn or the sorts.
