For me i'll mostly skip through to check whether the animation is good and get a feel of how grindy is the game. If it's good then i'll start from the beginning and read the story
Same thing happen to Summertime Saga.. Instead of churning out new content continuing the plot, the dev change to doing reworks for years and likely will take many more years with the current pace..

Less than 50gb. Most of the game after complete will be deleted. save files still in the computer though so if ever coming back to those games progress will not be lost anyway
