This is a very interesting point, and one that I've actually now added to the survey.
If anyone wants to go back in and update their survey, I've added questions 3 and 4 to cover this issue. I know there are hundreds of family issues that could be covered in the survey (as other comments have...

Just wanted to remind anyone that hasn't taken the kinks survey of its existence. It should be open for another week+
Thanks!!!!!!!

Guys (as it's mostly guys - though it does appear that three women have now answered the survey),
Responses have slowed to a trickle. I got one further response yesterday. (We're now up to 81 responses.) And I think it's mostly a function of people not being aware of the existence of the...
I should have said. Ignore the rating and the average. I should have set the kink questions as multiple choice, but it offered the option of rating, and I just thought - "Great! 1-5. Perfect." But it actually treats it as a rating from worst to best. So it takes the number of times the kink has...
Thanks! and posted while you were posting. (I'll post the updated results as soon as we hit 100 responses.)
I take it you mean that you filled it out. I wanted to make sure by "bonkified" you did not mean F'ed up, somehow....
I know the foundational rule is no kink shaming in the room, but I...
So I promised to post result when we have 50 responses. We're at 49 responses at the moment (or when I last checked) so I figure that's close enough, since everyone seems to be dying to see results.
I will say that I don't think these are the really interesting aspect of the results. I want to...
I think this is the point of most "would you rather" type questions. They're meant to put you on the horns of a dilemma and force you to pick one or the other. Luckily, we actually live in a world where we can have both.
I see. I'll have to think about that. That approach would be more...
I appreciate the responses! and thank you for doing the survey. I have to confess that I love evolutionary biology. If I had it all to do over again, that's the direction I'd go in and after college. But, alas, I can only pretend. I still value your feedback if you see something you disagree...
So my only caution to this comment is the term "comorbidities" in relation to homosexuality. The term sweeps homosexuality into a disease/medical condition, which hearkens back to the dark days of eugenics. I doubt homosexuality is actually any more associated with the dark triad of personality...
I'm not sure that they'll be posted here exactly. I might post them (and an explanation of my theory) on substack. But they will be linked here at a minimum.
Invader -
1. On homosexuality - I don't know about gay men being more ruthless than straight men. You'll have to find me a study showing that. I think the more common explanation for the heritable component of male homosexuality if what I call the rich uncle theory. There is clear evidence of...
BoooB - the reason I think that common distribution of kinks among different groups of males (see my answer above to Encassion and Private Captain) will go some way towards countering a "childhood trauma/experience" explanation is that if different kinks are responses to different childhood...
I love the fact that this is generating so much discussion.
Encassion - I think this is a fair comment. But if I'm going to try to establish that there are heritable elements to some of these kinks, then I actually want to force people to say "yes" or "no", rather than "it depends". I think...
OK, going too try to respond to all comments as best I can before I have to leave for work. More later.
1. Alex - Negative responses are just as powerful as affirmative ones, so, not boring. Either those answers will support my theory or they won't, and either result is just as interesting (as...
Fellow deviants (and non-deviants who wandered in by chance....):
Why do we like what we like? What motivates our sexual preferences? Is it childhood experiences? Is it random?
Or is there an evolutionary basis for our kinks? How does homosexuality persist over evolutionary time? It's present...
There are optional puzzle mini-games. These are generally just still renders of (usually) Anita in some stage of undress relevant to the plot point. They're easy and mildly fun and the reward is generally worth the two minutes to put the pieces in place. They're also auto-lock, so you only have...
