For me it's the connection of the story TO the art. That's what makes the characters relatable.
Good enough writing can make mediocre models relatable if the models have appropriate expressions.
If the models and animations are great, then the writing doesn't have to work as hard.
If it's crap...
Something with realistic polyamory and not just as a cover for a harem game. DMD did a little bit of this with the couple on the island and it was refreshing.
Being a DIK
Acting Lessons - ruined a really promising threesome romance in the worst possible way
DFD - good writing quality I guess, and likeable characters, but having to choose only one main love interest at the end was a huge let down. I wouldn't limit myself like that in real life. Why...
I haven't heard of most of these - actually having trouble figuring out what they are parodies of...
...I know... ...look it up.
"Fucking My Father" is an amusing DMD parody. Not a lot of material yet but enough to have some fun with.
"Innocent Witches" (Harry Potter) is grindy as hell but also...
I'm currently playing through Thamar, which I had downloaded here before the lockout. I'm about 1/2 way through chapter 2, so am reviewing only up to that point.
Basic plot without too many spoilers:
The story takes place in Spain, early 2000's. Daniel meets his long lost mother and his sister...
Some of mine in stream of consciousness order...
My Sister My Roommate -- nice relationship with the "sis" (who is legit not related to MC), interesting endings
Light of my Life -- just really well written overall, probably the best I've played from a writing standpoint, and by far the most...
I can't speak for the original poster, but I would love some playlist recommendations!
I want to do photo-realistic 3dcg, preferably with animated idles and backgrounds if that's at all practical (I've only seen a few examples of this). VN with some free roam elements.
I've got plenty of writing...
Interesting... shortly after I started this thread I found a similar one: You must be registered for see element.
but... on that thread people were about 60-70% wanting choices that matter and here so far it's about 80% single playthrough.
I can only assume it's because I qualified it with a...
Assume a story-driven game with 15 sex scenes across multiple love interests and no expectation of monogamy.
All other things being equal, do you want to experience the whole story and all 15 scenes in one play through?
Or do you prefer branching paths to explore different combinations of love...
I don't love them but they seem like a reasonable set of training wheels for people (like myself) who want to make games but don't have a lot of digital art/animation skills.
The first game I'm planning is deliberately scripted with HS models in mind for that reason. Might also look into Virtamate
Right after I posted this I randomly opened the next game in my queue which was Girl Scout Island, and it's entirely done with AI images. The stills look good but there's no video.
They were able to get the characters very consistent from one frame to the next though, and I'm not sure how.
I...
I generally prefer VNs to sandboxes but it depends on the story and how the sandbox is executed. In Love Of Magic, it works because the story has RPG elements like battles, so you actually have a reason to think about your character build and choose accordingly. FlirtyF is more of a traditional...
NOT World of Warcraft, CyberPunk, or anything with real violence in it unless I'm invincible. No I'd much rather be in a nice, well written harem game as a conveniently wealthy MC, like "My New Memories".
There's plenty of other wish fulfillment games out there but being stuck in a badly...
Are there any adult games/VNs that use AI generated images? And if so, do any of them do it well?
I'm curious to see how they stack up vs. more traditional approaches like DAZ...
I'm also curious how the AI art is being used - to generate 3d models? Still pictures only? AI backgrounds and DAZ...
