To some extend, I try to mirror myself (which I think is quite normal) but I'm also okay with stepping outside that to try something different in a game.
I have yet to play a good one, so based on anecdotal evidence, they're not great.
However, I don't think it's the AI art that has been the problem in the games I've played. It seems to be more the case that lazy devs think they can throw some AI-art together with some generic story and become...
I can't think of single game that's sandbox, that wouldn't have been (at least) just as good, if it was a linear game.
Because it's almost always the case that the stories are told in a linear way, so that one must stop and wait for another to progress.
I'll agree on the feet. I don't see there being any taboo to it, that makes it attractive. I don't see it being visually attractive either. I just don't get it.
For brand new games that look interesting I always jump in straight away to see if I like it. But if a game I know I like have a "too fast" update cycle with low amounts of content, then I'll wait for several updates, yeah.
I think of this lie so many other things: Everything in moderation.
Small extension to eyelashes? That's fine. Huge fake eyelashes? No thanks.
Small amount of lip filler? Sure, doesn't bother me. Lips that are so inflated that I can't see the girls nose? No thanks.
Same with huge bolted on...
There are simply too many good games that got abandoned, but here are a few great ones I can recall:
Our Fate- A new family [CedSense]
My Sweet Neighbors [Pandelo]
Rainy Day [Red Rocket]
Off the Record [deadbeat]
Due Process [kivik]
Food Truck Story [Mukashi]
Buried Desires [Betisis]
I have never, with my own two eyes, seen anyone go full retard ahegao. But I imagine it would result in me bursting out laughing if I was met with that face during sex :ROFLMAO:
