I asked the dev and apparently if you can click on the motorcycle helmet in the scene in front of the school then it means Macy is alive, so if it's Casey and Haley at the door she'll just show up later. -

Actually, there are 3 different outcomes for who shows up at the door: It can be Casey and her daughter. It can be the guy you meet at the office with a cop. Or it can be Macy. It's probably not a coincidence that we see the Doctor from the flashback at school that same morning in the background. -
