Sorry if this has already been reported elsewhere. I'm noticing on the LU page that every preview image is duplicated, usually with one image being slightly higher resolution than the other or every second image being missing entirely. My guess is it's related to re-uploads of image files lost...
I finished that one a few months back. I really liked it. You can tell he matured in his writing a lot since Eragon (which I also loved, but he really needed to lay off the thesaurus). No spoilers of course, but the book becomes a crazy trip and is worth the length.
I haven't actually. Mistborn is my first time trying out Sanderson. I like hard magic systems and just know he's known for them. I've seen Children of Time and will have to check it out.
I like slow burns generally as long as they eventually end and pay off. I feel a slow burn is often used as an excuse for milking though. Seems like a lot of devs (after a while, I don't think they necessarily go into things with this intention) realize that as long as they keep the story going...
I've been trying to get back into reading real books again lately. Let's share what we've all been reading outside the AVN space.
I finished the most recent book in the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown not long ago (Amazing in my opinion by the way; I definitely recommend for modern Sci-Fi...
I think this one does a good job with the whole bringing a shy character out of her shell story thread. It can be hard to get that right without it either going painfully slow, going too fast, or the MC coming across kinda creepy.
I get that and I think you're right for most games. The Ecchi Sensei saga was an outlier I think though. Bluecat was given an unusual amount of patience and trust from the community and it took months after the missed deadlines for people to start giving up and complaining en masse. Even then...
For me it would be Lessons in Love and its various copy cats. They seem interesting and I generally like the character designs. I also usually don't mind sandbox mechanics, but something about the sandbox in those games makes it an absolute slog to get through, even with the built-in guides.
This would be mine too if it wasn't for the fact it was effectively and clearly dead a whole two years before it was more or less official (I honestly stopped watching that train wreck and don't know for sure if bluecat is still pretending to work on it). By the time it got the abandoned tag the...
I agree completely. It is obviously well made and even pretty fun at first. I found it to get more and more boring a few hours in, even with the action ramping up. I think the lack of anything special is the problem. It seems very promising at the beginning and it doesn't outright fail, but it...
I'm gonna diverge from the crowd a bit on this one. My choice is Eiyuu Senki (both the original and gold). They've got really well done anime style CGs, an absurd number of characters that (nearly) all get at least one scene, and the gameplay is just downright fun. It's one of the few AVNs that...
Unfortunately, it wouldn't help with searching for games based on your preferred relations, but it would at least make it where you can check for what you like at a glance. Sometimes you can't tell from the preview pics alone (especially in the annoying cases where one or more shown family...
I think it depends on how specific your definition of lewd content is. They already have softcore nudity in the latest version, but I think they meant no sex is planned. It is a bit of a let down in that regard though, because it felt like they were signaling hard that there would be in future...
Maybe the tag clutter could be solved by requiring a "Relations List" section to the post after the dev notes that is required for all games with the incest tag.
Survival mechanics really do make a game go from fun to stressful/repetitive for me. Just about the only game I've found that includes them and didn't ruin it for me was Mist (You must be registered for see element.). TBF though, even there I pick the easy setting where you don't have to worry...
Easy choice for me: Yu Yu Hakusho. Still the best shonen out there imo.
Some honorable mentions:
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
Ikki Tousen (my profile pic is from this one)

Mine is based on Mass Effect. Legion is one of my favorite AI characters, so I went with Artificial Intelligence: LEGion = aileg.
Ironic accident that it ended up looking like a randomly generated name for a bot account.
