depends on the game. if the story is interesting i will read it since that's mostly what i play VN and these RPGM games for. however. if it's dull but has really good art.
You must be registered for see element.
VN/renplay and rpgm games tend to be solid. (especially if were talking Inide Dlsite rpgm games. sequel, monster girl quest paradox, quiet girls comes to mind.
unity and unreal sadly have a bad habbit of missing the mark for me.
fallout 4 is barely held together for modding.
i stopped playing skyrim recently just because i got sick of the crashing and bugs.
but i do love modded skyrim.
fallout 4 i can't get into at all.
Monster girl quest is forever on my recommendations for any serious VN readers who love story driven VN's like Inganock, tsukihime, katawa shoujo, utawarumono, still in my top 5 to this day.
some other popular ones
Harem hotel(story focus.)
Corupted kingdom (story focus.)
MIST (Story focus)...
harem hotel, corupted kingdom, both have yandere.
also love and sex second base. (however be warned that particular does result in a very quick game over for right now.)
theres also quite a few yandere focused VN or RPGM games form dlsite.
if your looking for story driven games like me then harem hotel, champion of realms, and corupted kingdoms are the best english origin indie ones,
some japanese ones are MGQ paradox, and the sequel series.
Little green hill it's the only reason i am even on this site.... i got invested in the story back when it was on 95 then the mods removed it.
to be fair my beef with some stuff 95 mods do dates back to the Champion of realms. nonsense. where they made it impossible to keep track of updates on it.
