multiple things, some coins have been mined with asics for years so using gpus doesn't make sense, some coins have moved to proof of stake, then china banned mining to save electricity so now gpu manufacturers focus on ai- lolilewder

Mining on a laptop is less than ideal, but regardless of what you use mining doesn't really work like that, you can't leave your computer for 1h and earn like 0.05$ unless you join a pool where everyone is rewarded for the effort they put in. Using random hardware is probably not profitable...- lolilewder
