    Surprised Being a DIK isn' mentioned. MrDots games also have pretty good animations and Dream of Desire Definitive Edition. Originally it didn't even had animations, but got big update later on.

    Ren'Py almost exclusively. There's only few RPGM or Unity games I've played.

    If it's simple, clear and meaningful then I can tolerate or even like it. Most sandboxes are unnecessary, repetitive and grindy with maze like house and annoying map which makes it pain to play. Also some kind of time system is somewhat common and big part of playtime is skipping time. Also...
