    No, I'm never really self inserting here. I could never imagine naming the MCs after myself, for instance. When I'm annoyed at an MC it's because they're poorly written, not because I "can't relate."

    I don't usually skip stuff, but sometimes the dev has attempts at humor that go on way too long and if I don't find them funny I'll skip those when they come up.

    This has not happened. I keep a pretty strict boundary between fantasy and real life. As compelling as I might find a character I can't imagine "falling in love" with them.

    Bad writing and poor characterization. If all the girls seem the exact same with stilted dialogue it doesn't matter how cute they are anymore.

    I think it generally makes sense for a character who is still experimenting but isn't quite ready for sex, but I agree that generally there aren't really a lot of scenarios where I'm like "hey, lets just go with a thigh job tonight."

    No, I'm a total scoundrel in-game. In life I'm a pretty loyal person, but I don't feel the same impulse in the realm of fantasy.

    I find it pretty easy to identify with the perpetrator rather than the protagonist in mangas, but it's a lot harder for me to not identify as the protagonist in games so I tend to stay away.
