Reasons you will not play a game and not because of a tags (regardless of if it has one you do not want or is missing one you do).
I do not run the exe's that come with the games. I use renpy to run the games code .. not certain protection against malware but it does reduce some avenues.- exerp

How long do you give VNs to catch your interest?
If it is a game focused on the lewds I might skip a lot. And repeat some ;) If it is a story centered game I will usually hang in unless the writing is really bad. No time measure on that. Binge worthy - good TV and streaming series
I do not usually watch anime .. but "Attack on Titan" was suggested to me and turned out really good. Definitely bingeable. LOTS of story twists to keep you interested. Some really weird stuff .. in a good way! -
