    Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot

Had a couple pieces of ludicrously expensive equipment fail a diagnostic test, so got to spend my day packing them up for shipment. Putting a hundred grand in a beat up cardboard box held together by 3 flavors of duct tape and a bunch of second hand bubble-wrap is an odd feeling. As is signing...

On a lighter note, one of our software team leads loves to joke that all her code is AI: "Actually Indian" (she's originally from Hyderabad)

Oh he absolutely did. His degree was real, but from what I'm hearing nearly everything else he claimed was exaggerated at best, fake at worst. It's crazy that he managed it too. I had 7 interviews and a crazily intense background check for my position (low level lab tech, not top secret or...

    Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot

We just had to fire an engineer for slop coding. Dude had been stumbling along on bug fix tickets for the last couple months since he got brought in, but his first real project (just a little module update, nothing huge) was such an impressively flaming pile of garbage that everything fell...

NLT is quite consistent and has 5 complete games in the bag. Faerin is working on their 3rd game and updates consistently. MrDots has several too. Quite a few consistent devs really. As a trick, you can set Status: Completed on the latest update page. Can even sort by Likes to help separate...

It's ok, I killed god in Persona 4. And Persona 5. I'll probably do it again in Persona 6 in 2053. Gotta love those Japanese high schoolers and their wacky hijinx.

It no longer appears to order things by latest update, but I can't figure out the logic by which its actually ordering things. For example in my screenshot up there the going from left to right, top to bottom, the update dates are: Mar 4th, Mar 7th, Mar 5th, Mar 6th, Mar 6th, Feb 14th. Doesn't...

Not just the images, but the fact that most of the "latest" games its showing are from 3 weeks ago, when earlier today there were new games from, well, today. Also The dates appear to be a bit out of order as I see things going back and forth between 2 years, 3 months, 8 days, 3 years, etc...

I did indeed notice. Though I also noticed how often they got Pi wrong... you'd think computers would be better at math.

It helps that each season is more or less self contained, and the first few are the best. But yeah, that's a hell of a pile to climb.
