I came back to this site after maybe a year and this thread was on page 5999. That was maybe 2 days ago? I really didn't expect it to gain over 20 pages in that amount of time.. Hello everyone
I wouldn't say underrated. The game was praised for its potential and made good money. The thing that killed it for a lot of people was the removing content and popping out an incomplete product as finished after a long time without updating.
Remove existing content, randomly decide to remake their entire game, or pad out 'updates' with very little content for how long it took and how much money was invested
When the choices are vague and make you pull a fallout. ie the action your character takes is so much more dramatic than the choice originally implies. Additionally, when choices or sequences are out of character or don't make sense but the dev didn't know how else to include something they...
Considering most sites have a daily 5-6 gb limit, that's more or less my cap. I always try to go for compressed as well considering some games are wayy bigger than they should be. There are some exceptions though like Harem Hotel which is over 10 at this point
Imo the problem is the fact that (and this is common even for regular games) branches and choices almost never actually matter. They're either for the purpose of flavor text or some variety in the following scene. On a larger scale all it does is lock you out of a potential LI or change the...
There are definitely better ways to handle extreme fetishes than a sudden immersion breaking warning. I'm a fan of toggles in your options that pop up at the beginning of the game.
Slow burns are one thing but an entire hour for any form of sexual content is ridiculous. possibly unpopular opinion but even teasing and tension can overstay its welcome if there isn't more within an hour.
I don't think any fetish should be auto blocked, but a toggle block that lets you whitelist tags is always welcome. Bonus points if it's prompted when you first start a playthrough. Personally though, I almost never block tags because of how often games can be mistagged, or gain a tag for a...
Art is a big part of it for me, but I'm a lot more generous with my interpretation of "good" I think. I like art that has its own spin to it even if it wouldn't necessarily be widely accepted
Aside from the obvious bad experiences, I'm personally not a fan of the AI art style that almost every game uses, but it's not like lots of artists are using AI for their own work. so the options are generic AI or stolen art. I am open to good and unique AI art if it happens though
Honestly, I don't even mind AI art that much, and I don't mind when developers and artists use it as a tool if it helps them churn out updates faster and it keeps the same spirit. My main problem is the fact that almost every AI game looks exactly the same and they're mostly cash grabs with very...
