    Depends how it's done. Some stories are basically a VN with an annoying sandbox layer. Sometimes it does work. I tend to play sandboxes when I'm in the mood for a slow "reward".

    It can work, but it's not easy. You can be pulled out of any immersion if the character changes body shape / hair color / etc. Maybe with tools like AI generation it'll get easier to be consistent.

    Why do you think there is so much censorship on other platforms, knowing that they are pixels and not real people in games?

    Easy: laws and payment processor. There only needs to one country that is strict on something and you need to be careful to not be sued. That and payment processors will just shut you off for just pornography (unless you're big enough).

    Why don't you financially support devs you really like?

    You can only support so many. I am still actively supporting maybe a dozen creators. At some point I get tired of all these continuous updates as well. It's nice to be really involved with a game you love, but all these dripfed slowfed updates become too much at some point.

    What game engine do you prefer adult games to use?

    It depends. A good creator that deliberately chose an engine can normally make it work (except maybe that awful Tyranobuilder one). However, I do tend to avoid RPGM from western games. They're often too slow and not really making use of the RPGMaker features enough to justify it over Ren'py...
