    Different worlds I guess, but as a dev in the states that $100 is less than my hourly bill rate. A simple change is easily an hour or more when accounting for testing and shit. Also I don't think anyone could pay me enough to deal with PHP again.

    Contests are the "beneficial use" I was missing in my advocating "just restrict trading unless there is some beneficial use" instead of the bank/interest changes. Theoretically admins/mods could coordinate prize distribution for contests, enable trading for like 5 minutes, then turn it back off...

    That may be the compelling reason I was hoping to hear as to why one of the mods was arguing to keep trading enabled at the the cost of the bank changes. Maybe it could still work with mod/admin involvement if they can modify people's balances from the admin side.
