I'd add recommendations to Headmaster & Club Detention that have already been mentioned.
Little Green Hill is another recommendation - it's a combined orphanage/school setting where the MC becomes the director
while those games were listed as infected, it's still possible that other titles could be infected as well. best to be aware of the risk & monitor for the downloader
I think it's that everyone on this site has a common shared interest combined with more rewards for likes gives an incentive to not be overly combative in differing opinions

I have a large library of mp3's from the pre-streaming days, winamp is lightweight and doesn't try and force an internet connection to play local mp3s
I tend to skip heavy dialog that doesn't seem to add much to the overall story.
replaying games to evaluate other paths/choices provides more skippable portions
There's a lot of standard models used in 3dcg that make games look overly similar. There's probably a higher barrier to entry for 2dcg, but sometimes the art is considerably better in my opinion.
I like walkthroughs especially when there are different options/paths. In-game walkthoughs are better than an out of game text walkthrough. Prefer it to be native, but I'll mod it in if needed.
