The dev has clearly stated that he wants to quickly do another (related) game before coming back to this. Some background/ continuity thing that ties in with what he wants to do with this game going forward. Let's hope he does what he wants and gets on with this one which I really, really like.
There are a couple of threads about UnRen here but they are not being maintained. Get it from F95. Fairly straightforward to use. Extract the downloaded zip, copy the extracted .bat file to the folder where the game is, double click the .bat file, press 1 and enter.
Other choices are available...

Firefox gives a virus alert.
EDIT: seems to be a false positive. Windows Defender and Malwarebytes didn't find anything.
A good bush is really hard to get right. I guess that's why a lot of devs prefer the 'no hair' look. Personally, I prefer shaved or waxed - the hair doesn't obstruct my view.
Yes. The link to the mod still works. If your browser doesn't automatically download zip files, try right clicking the link and selecting save link as from the menu.

Currently, in this initial release, there is NOTHING in the sandbox as yet.
Once you have finished the intro and reached the...
TLDR if you have used Unren with option 1, then that breaks the mod if you don't delete the extracted script files. If you don't know what Unren is, you're good.
To be fair, early versions of most sandbox games are like this - there aren't enough events to populate all the time slots available, so there's a lot of 'time wasting'. This is a demo - the sandbox stage has nothing yet. Give it time.
Like I said earlier, a good sandbox strategy is to indicate...
I'm assuming you don't watch much TV. This is the standard format for TV series: trailer, pilot, and then you wait, usually a whole week, for the next episode.
A good sandbox strategy is to indicate in the navigation exactly where the interaction is available so the player doesn't go where nothing is happening.
Also, a button to advance time if no event is happening at a particular time.
