Did you turn off Windows task Manager? Can you confirm that the high CPU usage still happens if the Task Manager is not running? There might be some wierd issue with it.- ontach

Thanks for the report. Could you please clarify which OS, browser you were using? Also, did you have Windows Task Manager or similar open before you noticed the fans come on, or did you start monitoring after you noticed?- ontach

What's my incentive if I don't get any benefit for the frequent reactions? If I give 5 likes in 30 seconds, I only get credit for 1. Unless, perhaps, you're concerned that I might be boosting a friend's reaction received count. Maybe a members+ check could fix that. :unsure:- ontach

After observing the behaviour for several days, I'm happy to report that the issue seems to have gone away. Not sure if it was fixed by the admins, or it was a Windows or Firefox issue that got fixed by an update, but it is no longer causing the high CPU usage that was bothering me earlier. :)- ontach

Is there something running in the code of the members page You must be registered for see element. that causes unexpectedly high CPU usage? Running on Firefox on Windows 11. Even the latest updates page doesn't show this much CPU usage.- ontach

The image is doing more harm than good. Without the image, you KNOW that the link will take you to the password. With the image, you can see the password in the image, and think that the link is just a label. -

Try pasting the password into a text file (Notepad). That often helps to show up any extra characters you might have picked up by mistake.
