Platforms shadowban/make it very difficult to almost impossible to fund them, and then there's local laws (legality of the content they have), it's all good for you to sit and complain about it, but it's not your ass... -

Yeah, well given the number of games that get abandoned these days, people are more hesitant to subscribe to devs for new games, since many get dropped after 1-3 releases, so people aren't going to spend money if you can't show the game is going to stick around for the long term.
