I'm guessing he has enough games in progress right now that he's not going to work on another at the same time. Also, that wasn't one of his games, and it's generally not easy to pick up someone else's game, especially when it doesn't follow the same nature of his games at all. -

Some games have enough content that they're still worth keeping/playing even when they've been abandoned. I have a handful that I've kept despite them being abandoned. I don't know if this one does, but I'd say they're still uploading it for those who still want to try it. -

On the other hand, it's better to get that behind-the-scenes stuff perfected (or close to it) early on in the game process. The later in the game you wait to do it, the more likely that it can cause unexpected issues, break saves, and/or require redoing a lot of earlier content. -

I'll admit that I was starting to lose interest in the game, but the last update or two brought it back (at least with the true story). It helps that the time between releases seems to be shortened, even if that generally means less content.
