A good story is the difference between actually reading the text, or spam clicking to scenes. I think a decent example is Power Vacuum, where the early chapters had a lot of story set up, characterization, and exploration of the games themes [primarily the taboo of incest]. The later chapters...
I'd even go so far to say that crude movement [where dev uses a couple repeating slides to simulate movement] is a noticable improvement over strictly static images.
Yeah I'm waiting for Symphony to be complete before looking into it. They have good development history so I'm confident they'll finish it in a good timeframe.
How would you compare TGO to TON? Like generally an improvement or maybe more of the same?
Treasure of Nadia was the first 3D game I played, and it definitely showed me the possibilites of 3D [I had never really thought about animations for 3D games and thought a lot of models and CG direction was ugly which is why I never checked them out before]. I have The Gensis Order downloaded...
This game is phenomenal. Good cast, great pixel art. My only complaint is that there are definitely scenes that received a lot more of attention in terms of detail of the pixel art, but still absolutely recommended.
Definitely a fan of tycoon style games. I haven't played out Jack o Nine Tails before because its had such a messy dev history, but if it's that good I should give it a try.
