    If I had to choose, canid-type at the top of the list (basic, I know). But honestly? any of the above is cool I probably dont need to mention this, but Monster Girl 1,000 is pretty comprehensive :)

    Usually females, but I gotta say there's a few games with futa characters where I wouldn't change if I had the choice. I tend not to play 'futa only' type stuff though so I'm no expert.

    I hate feeling like I'm being forced to wade through acres of padding to reach content. Repetitive tasks and grinding, or talking to 50 people to achieve something tiny. Still, you can grab the images from most games if the gameplay isn't up to scratch

    2010's racing games for me. Forza Motorsport 4, NFS Most Wanted 2012 (never played the original so I dunno if its better), etc. Used to like multiplayer stuff but people are so angry now

    I'd definitely play a game for the sake of the story, but even in that there's factors like the quality of the writing itself and pacing.

    RenPy tends to just work. Unity tends to trip up replicating RenPy features (And it's a pain to get the images if the text isn't my thing)

    The game ideas, content and renders are great. It's such a shame that the game is so hard to use. Hopefully the dev can keep squishing bugs, not that it's easy to make games from scratch

    I've seen it mentioned here already, but My New Family was the first that I played properly. It hasn't been updated in a while since the dev got caught up in some (unrelated) court case stuff, but I'm hopeful it might still get an update/sequel someday

    I'll read the story at first, then start skipping if I don't find it interesting or it feels like 'filler'. Sometimes if it feels like the dev is skipping through the story to get to scenes too I'll just grab the CG's.

    Thoughts on VN vs. Sandbox

    For me longer sandbox games can feel grindy where a VN can develop a story. No use in a badly written VN though so I guess it depends on the dev(s)
