Katawa Shoujo, the game that proved that 4chan actually somehow can produce good games. But, exactly as most would predict, did so just once as a giant troll to the entire world to prove that everyone was wrong about them.
This is one of the better corruption style games out there. The overall theme, whilst a tad odd at times, does play into the trope of a degenerate gaining control due to shadowy forces backing them well. It also does not assume an immediate alteration to the personalities of the character, but...
Games seem to need at least a month at this point to become playable in order to account for bug fixes and optimization issues. Though fewer companies don't care about optimization anymore.
Honestly, the game has some merit. However, it is still something which can be fairly called bare bones. It also doesn't help that the grinding in it is annoying. So I would wait before investing a lot of time into it.
Sandbox is one of those tags which is either perfectly done or utterly maddening with the lack of context for all the options. So it is both my least favorite tag for those I search only to come across mindless stuff for or my favorite when its done properly.
This is one of those games in which it is clear that the developer has improving skills, but at the same time the game has an imperfect atmosphere due to the sheer diversity of choices offered.
