FFS, devs who do this are just infuriating because it shows they can't take criticism. Just be honest and admit that you were so focused on the females at first you didn't care about the guy when rendering. Don't mask laziness behind a "grand plan", even emotionless people know how to fake it.
Why would you start another game when you already have so many others in progress?
I have enough faith to believe its not greedily stalling for backer money, as I really doubt there was any dip in funding from when Guardian or Hotel finished to justify that. Is it just boredom? Loss of interest...
I can't think of a time when I've had that type of emotional reaction.
HOWEVER. I can think of many times when the game has straight up pissed me off. Usually it comes down to the writing revolving around the MC.
I have not picked this up in a couple years now because it was nothing but patch after patch about new characters. I don't mind that on its surface, but the overall story was just stuck in limbo. Has there been much change on that front?
I agree with the others. The flow of the game is a mess. There is a lot of content there, but trying to access it in any coherent fashion often requires a lot of save-scumming. It's a shame, because I really do like sandbox types and generally don't advocate for a purely linear experience...
I turn off the sound. I get bored easily and if I hold down control to start skipping some dialogue, the sound can quickly go nuts. I think the last time I actually kept the sound on was Snow Daze and that's because (1) english VA and (2) the sound is integral to the story.
I support devs with a track record showing a good work ethic. I know thats unfair to brand new devs, but I'm not going to toss my money away on "Trust me bro, it'll be hot".
You show me that you can put out decently quality work on a consistent schedule and that projects can reach completion...
