There seems to be a pattern where incest is found attractive, but only if it isn't with your family. The idea of incest, and the taboo nature of it, makes it attractive. Put someone's actual family in an incest setting and their boner will be gone faster than a paycheck disappearing in Vegas.
Yeah, hair color is determined by main character potential.
Except short blue hair for women, as that is determined by being the main character's childhood friend.
Aren't humans deterministic as well? You put a person into the exact same situation twice and they will behave the exact same way. Humans have a memory and remember things while current AI does not, but the same human with the same memory will make the same choice, just like an AI would.
There are days I realize the game I'm playing has no bathrooms. No bathrooms anywhere, not even off screen or in the background. It then becomes a reminder that I'm playing a game and keeps breaking immersion. All the devs had to do was add a closed door to a little section of the house...
Without AI people created poor quality drawings. Now they can create somewhat better drawings, but without an artistic eye, they are still not good. I think the systems we have used in the past to filter out bad drawings haven't caught up with dealing with AI drawings, but once it does, it'll...
Even professional VN's seem like a bad way to begin interacting with real people.
I've heard that people who learn another language through VNs often end up talking weird until they become truly fluent.
Understandable. Feet and hands are hard to do right, especially fingers and toes, and it can end up making the whole character look off. It is one of those things you can't really unsee, but also an area some devs put little effort on. Even in professional games, sometimes you look too...
I found an old game I liked, saw it had 2 years worth of updates. Thought this will be great. Had to restart because all old saves were broken, but that's okay.
Many hours later, I find out all my favorite characters had a total of 0 to 1 new scenes added. :(
Maybe selection bias? Is it like with music, where we think they use to have only great music just because all the bad stuff was forgotten and left in the past?
Isekai with harem. Why isekai? So I can get awesome powers and hopefully use magic. Sex is great and all, but have you tried flying through the sky and shooting fireballs?
How much do you think it is devs using it in places they lack skill, so they when the AI does a poor job, the dev has little ability to fix it? Especially for smaller indie devs who have little budget to get help.
I think a lot of people don't buy lewd content. So much so many card companies don't like dealing with it (that and charge backs). Maybe things are changing, but about the only way to monetize it is to take donations and that seems like it doesn't really make good money for the skill and time...
Similar. I play mostly PC, so my consoles sit unused. Switch gets some love, but I rarely break out the PS and haven't even gotten an XBox in the last few gens. I'll probably skip the PS6.
Pretty much always, builds a connection to the characters and makes things more intimate. A bad story is basically a reason not to play. If all I want are pictures or clips to look at, there are better places online for those.
Does parents walking in on the one mature scene in an otherwise normal video game count? My parents were okay with the violence, but not with sex. Yet they still sometimes walk in on one of the few sexy scenes every time. Getting my own place offered so much freedom not having to worry about...
For games, I've seen so many that do hair downstairs poorly that I prefer they didn't even try. Art styles that work great with hair on the head don't seem to have much success with showing hair anywhere else. Even a mustache or beard ends up looking a little weird.
IRL it matters much less...
An isekai game with the freedom to get a full harem. JRPG style with crafting and farming. I would keep adding features until the whole thing fell apart.
