If it is a Sandbox that gives you no direction then yes it does make me give up. There are some games that just start with basically two lines of dialogue then throws in a sandbox and gives players no direction what to do. These types of sandboxes and ones that require performing the same action...
I think more anime style. For render engines I typically prefer Koikatsu >= HS >> DAZ. There are some really good DAZ renders out there if the devs spend a long time on them, but most of the time they are subpar.
If a game has two routes to choose I usually start with corruption, as I prefer romance and want to continue further down that path, but still want to see what the corruption route entails.
I understand that these devs should get paid for the work they put into games, but the model of having core content pay walled is not good. Early access to stuff or some nice extra renders/outfits should be all.
I'm fine with it if MC is a bad person and does some stuff I wouldn't like, but it gets annoying when there are multiple choices and none of them seem good.
