    i was devastated by the way things were handled in Alien 3, particularly story elements and the fate of certain characters. while i like some of david finchers movies, this one kinda left me really depressed. Alien Resurrection was....different. as much as i liked seeing the return of Arnie...

    the current discourse would suggest that while Frozen empire is better than Afterlife, it's still not that great - but i still need to see it before i can pass final judgement on it. and Spiderman No Way Home was pretty awesome

    admittedly i only watched the first two MI movies, and i havnt seen Top Gun maverick. while i hear many good things about the MI franchise, and how amazing maverick is, i can't seem to watch any of the relatively recent tom cruise movies. still a pretty low bar, but hopefully Alien Romulus can...

    while not necessarily sequels, these are some amazing film examples. Never heard of Sibiriada, However i have seen Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky, a film released at the same year, which im sure your familiar with.

    thats cool, no problem having differing opinions. its great to see so many different takes on film. id agree on the 3rd film thing, though the only exception i could think of is the LOTR trilogy.

    bloodborne is my number one pick, with its wicked lovecroftian and gothic style. elden ring is my second, for taking the souls formula to the next level. dark souls three is my third cos i liked to brag about beating the nameless king.
